LiDAR is a sensor technology for detection and imaging by using laser beams. It acquires distance information, shape information, and information of dynamic objects by emitting rapidly scanning laser pulses and capturing signals reflected from target objects. Superior to ultrasonic radar, LiDAR features significantly faster scanning speeds (hundreds to thousands of times per second) and higher precision, enabling the detection of smaller targets. However, its range is influenced by the divergence angle of laser beams and environmental conditions.
